今日 check email 時發現了一篇很有趣的東西. 說是測試看 email 的人有否患上癡呆症, 當然只是說笑罷了. 不過 email 中的問題實在很有意思.
現與各位分享, 為博各位一笑, 亦順道學學英語 (答案請用鼠標反白看):
Dementia (癡呆症)
Below are four questions and a bonus question. You have to answer them instantly (立刻地). You can't take your time (慢慢來), answer all of them immediately. Let's find out just how clever you really are.
First Question:
You are participating in a race. You overtake (跑過了) the second place person. What position are you in?
Answer: If you answered that you are first, then you are wrong! If you overtake the second place person, and you take their place, you are second!
To answer the second question, don't take as much time as you took for the first question.
Second Question:
If you are in a race, and you overtake the last person, then you are?
Answer: If you answered that you are second to last (尾二), then you are wrong again. Tell me, how can you overtake the LAST person?! [解釋: 既然他是最後, 你就不可能在他後面了, 對吧?] You're not having a good time at this! Are you?
Very tricky maths! Note: This must be done in your head only. Do NOT use paper and pencil or a calculator. Try it.
Third Question:
Take 1000 and add 40 to it. Now add another 1000. Now add 30. Add another 1000. Now add 20. Now add another 1000. now add 10. What is the total?
Answer: Did you get 5000? The correct answer is actually 4100. Don't believe it? Check with your calculator!
Today is definitely not your day (今天你頭頭碰釘). Maybe you will get the last question right?
Fourth Question:
Mary's father has five daughters: 1. Nana, 2. Nene, 3. Nini, 4. Nono. What is the name of the fifth daughter?
Answer: Nunu? NO! Of course not. Her name is Mary. Read the question again!
Okay, now the bonus round. You can partially redeem yourself (為自己挽回少許面子) with this one!
Bonus Question:
There is a mute person (啞巴) who wants to buy a toothbrush (牙刷). By imitating (模仿出) the action of brushing one's teeth he successfully expresses himself to the shopkeeper and the purchase is done (他成功買到牙刷). Now if there is a blind man who wishes to buy a pair of sunglasses, how should he express himself?
Answer: He just has to open his mouth and ask. He's blind, not mute - so simple.
後記: 筆者五題裡答對了三題, 應該算是不錯了吧 =)
